Still, you still need to make certain adaptations to your vids and channel in order for further people to discover and view them. If you ask for further views on your YouTube vids in 2023 – 2024. Then are 8 simple tips to help you increase the visibility of your YouTube vids.

We'll share some simple tips and tricks for people who produce content, have small businesses, or just want to partake their ideas and studies with others. How to Make a Plan Idea for Your YouTube Video Planning vids can be done in multitudinous ways but we will tell you the three ways. While it's most emotional to use all three styles together, let's be honest – if you do not want to be a full- time YouTuber, you can simply stick to the first one, which involves using keywords.

1. Keywords

Using specific keywords in your vids is essential for getting your content noticed on Google and YouTube. Still, some generators make a common mistake by fastening on keywords that have veritably many quests. To increase your chances of being discovered, I suggest targeting keywords with at least 1000 quests per month. I aim for keywords with 10,000 to 50,000 yearly quests.

To find suitable keywords for YouTube, you can make use of helpful tools like vidIQ, which offers much of this data for free. For more advanced YouTube keyword research, you may consider using tools like Ahrefs or SEMrush, although they can be expensive if you only need them for YouTube research.

Bonus Tip: To make your channel more organized and appealing, try focusing on a specific group of topics or keywords. Create multiple videos for each topic and group them together in Playlists. It's best to limit your channel to around 8 to 10 main topics to maintain a cohesive theme. This way, viewers can easily find and enjoy content that interests them.

2. Similar Content

You have a chance to appear on the "Recommended" section of YouTube, right beside specific videos. To do this, create videos that are similar in topic and duration to those popular videos. Make sure to use specific keywords in your video, just like the similar video did. Also, use similar tags (explained more below). A good way to start is by finding popular videos from creators in your niche and creating your own version of that topic, adding your unique style to it.

In case you are upset about this approach, do not be! It's actually a common practice among happy generators, and you will not upset other generators as long as you are not directly copying their work.

Keep in mind that YouTube's recommendation system aims to keep observers engaged andentertained. However, it's less likely to be recommended for long ages, If your videotape is uninteresting and fails to hold observers' attention.

 3. Trends

To discover what motifs are popular and trending, you can use a free tool called Google Trends, handed by Google. For illustration, when I searched for" What's SEO," I found that" How to Make a YouTube Channel" and" How to Make YouTube Films" are presently trending worldwide. So, if you produce a videotape about these motifs and follow the other advice in this post, you are likely to attract numerous views.

Combining the knowledge of current trends with creating similar content can significantly improve your chances of ranking well on YouTube and even on Google. If your video is engaging and keeps viewers watching until the end, your view time will increase, and you'll likely gain more subscribers.

How to Rank Your YouTube Videos on Google

Imagine This: You're sipping your morning coffee, scrolling through the notifications on your phone that appeared overnight. As you casually check your YouTube analytics, you're thrilled to see that your latest video received a whopping 1000 views last week!

Oh, yeah! That's amazing!

It's no surprise that you also noticed an increase in leads...

Achieving results like these doesn't happen by chance. YouTube is the second most popular platform for search traffic, just behind Google. And here's an interesting fact: Google search includes YouTube results in its searches too, which means even more exposure for your videos.

Now, let's delve into the technical aspects of how you can rank your YouTube videos quickly!

1. How to Title Your YouTube Videos

On YouTube, video titles can be up to 100 characters long. However, Google shows only the first 70 characters of the title.

To rank your YouTube videos better, it's crucial to focus on using relevant keywords. When selecting your keywords, think about the question your video answers. These keywords are what people will type in their Google or YouTube searches to find content like yours.

In your title, clearly state the specific benefit viewers will get from watching your video. Let them know right away why it's worth their time and how it can positively impact their life.

When brainstorming potential titles, search them on Google and see how your competition ranks. Experiment with different ways of phrasing the questions to find the most effective one that has a better chance of ranking your YouTube video. Analyze the search results and use that information to make your decision.

If you notice that one variation of your title has several strong competing videos, it's best to try something different. You want to stand out and not get lost among tough competition.

Keep in mind that Google often displays YouTube video results for specific types of keywords, such as:

  1. "How To,"

  2. "Review,"

  3. "Tutorial,"

  4. Titles with a specific year mentioned (like "How to Rank Videos Fast in 2023-2024").

If it's relevant to include these keywords in your title, you'll likely attract more searches from Google users.

2. YouTube Tags

Using the right keywords helps you rank on Google, while tags help improve the ranking of your YouTube videos within the YouTube platform itself.

To choose the most suitable tag for your video, head over to vidIQ and enter your keyword idea. Then, select all the tags related to that keyword (they might consist of more than one word). However, don't go overboard with tags! You have a limit of 500 characters, but I recommend keeping it under 400. Using too many tags might confuse the YouTube algorithm. Stick to tags that are relevant to the keyword or phrase you want to rank for and avoid trying to rank for multiple things.

You can access free YouTube tools to view the tags used by other YouTubers in their videos. To do this, create a vidIQ account and install the browser plugin. Then, go back to YouTube and sign into your vidIQ account (you'll see the plugin on the right side of YouTube).

You can view these tags without needing a paid account, and this aligns with the strategy of creating "Similar Content" that was mentioned earlier.

3. YouTube Video Description

In every video you create, there's an opportunity to write a description.

If you want your YouTube videos to rank quickly, follow these guidelines for writing the video description:

  1. Your description must have a minimum of 250 words.

  2. Include your keywords within the first 25 words, like in the first sentence.

  3. Repeat your main keyword naturally about 3 to 4 times.

As a Bonus Tip, I recommend adding the following details to your description:

A Brief Synopsis of You or Your Company: Don't assume people will click back to your profile; tell them about yourself right in the video description.

A Call to Action: Clearly state the purpose of your video. Do you want viewers to buy a product, subscribe to your channel, or visit your website? Tell them what action to take.

Resources: If viewers like your video and want more information, provide them with resources to answer their follow-up questions. You can link to another video or your website for further details.

Social Media Profile Links: If viewers enjoy your videos, let them know where else they can find you. Include links to your other social media channels like Facebook or Twitter.

Hashtags: Yes, Hashtags are now relevant on YouTube. If you include a hashtag in your description, it will appear as a clickable link above your video's title.

It's pivotal to complete the description for each videotape with as important applicable information as possible, especially if you are aiming to use a keyword strategy for better rankings.

 4. YouTube Thumbnail

When you upload a videotape to YouTube, the platform automatically sets a summary for you. still, this automatic choice may not always be the most flattering or representative of your brand.

To take control of your video's visual appeal, create a perfect thumbnail that includes overlay text describing the content and enticing viewers. While this won't directly impact your YouTube video ranking, it significantly increases the likelihood of people clicking on your video when they see it in the search results. After all, even if your video ranks high, if nobody clicks on it, your ranking position won't be sustained for long.

Here are some tricks for making a powerful YouTube thumbnail.

  1. Use prominent text that highlights the benefit of watching your video.

  2. Consider including a face in the thumbnail, showing a strong emotion like happiness, sadness, or surprise.

  3. Add an outline around the thumbnail or highlight a picture inside it for a visually appealing effect.

To optimize your thumbnail, I suggest searching for your keyword on YouTube and looking at the thumbnails of the currently top-ranking videos. Next, design an improved, attention-grabbing thumbnail that sparks viewers' interest and encourages them to click on your video.

5. YouTube Caption File

In the past, I used to recommend having a caption file if you wanted to rank your YouTube videos. A caption file is a text that matches what is said in the video with specific timestamps. It helps people who are hard of hearing, deaf or speak a different language. YouTube provides a Captions Editor in YouTube Studio, where you can edit the caption files automatically generated by YouTube's AI.

However, based on my recent tests, I've noticed that videos can still rank well even without a caption file. The reason for this change is that text-to-speech technology has advanced significantly, and now YouTube and Google can understand the content of your video without relying heavily on the transcript. Nevertheless, to be on the safe side, creating a caption file is still a good practice.

Some SEO experts still recommend customizing your caption file. I suggest focusing on ensuring that the main keywords in your video are correctly recognized by the YouTube AI, as it may sometimes have trouble understanding brand names, for instance.

6. YouTube Backlinks

When other websites or social profiles link back to your video (referred to as Backlinks), it signals to Google that your video is relevant and valuable. As a result, Google tends to rank YouTube videos with more Backlinks higher in search results.

To obtain more Backlinks for your video, share it on various social media platforms and engage with relevant blogs by leaving comments that include the link to your video. This way, you can help answer people's questions and encourage them to view your content.

However, not all Backlinks are beneficial. If a questionable or unreliable website links to your video, it could negatively impact your credibility. Too many of these bad links can harm your efforts to rank your YouTube videos.

A useful strategy to gain more Backlinks is by utilizing your video as a helpful answer to questions on platforms like Quora and Reddit. Additionally, you can create a blog post and embed the video within it, providing further context or information related to the video's content. You might also consider posting the transcript of the video as a blog post to enhance its accessibility.

Bonus Tip: To boost the traffic and engagement on your videos right after they are published, consider promoting them to your email list or other large followings on various platforms. This will help generate initial traction for your video and improve its chances of ranking higher in search results.

7. Boost YouTube Views

Using the "fake it till you make it" strategy can be controversial, but in some cases, it can help your videos rank on Google. Many YouTubers use popular services to buy views for their YouTube videos.

Purchasing views for your video can give the impression of credibility and authority in your niche. When your video has a large number of views, it makes you appear more trustworthy and influential.

PRO: Videos with a high number of views can boost your video's credibility and make it more appealing in the search results. When people see that your video has a significant number of views, they are more likely to click on it and watch it themselves.

CON:  However, having boosted views with low watch time can be detrimental to your video's engagement rate. It is crucial that your video is genuinely engaging, and users watch more than 50% of the content. This indicates to YouTube's algorithm that your video is popular and relevant, which can increase its chances of being recommended to more users.

It's important to understand that buying views alone won't be enough to rank your YouTube videos. You still need to create high-quality content that naturally attracts viewers who genuinely watch, like, comment, and share your videos. Google's algorithm is intelligent, and if your video has low engagement rates, the ranking won't be sustained for long.

8. Add End Screens to Videos

End defenses are a point you can add to the final 5 to 20 seconds of your videotape. They allow you to promote other vids, encourage observers to subscribe to your channel, and more. For vids with a standard 16:9 aspect rate, you can include up to four rudiments in your end screen. Still, some other aspect rates may have a lower limit for the rudiments you can add.

Keep in mind:

  1. Your video must be at least 25 seconds long to use an end screen.

  2. Other interactive elements like card teasers and video watermarks are hidden when the end screen is displayed.

  3. End screens are not available for videos that are labeled as "made for kids," in the YouTube music app, flash videos, mobile web, or 360-degree videos.

In Conclusion

Ranking your YouTube videos on Google can greatly boost your brand or business's exposure. To achieve this, employ these effective hacks:

Keywords: Target keywords that have a monthly search volume of 10,000 to 50,000.

Similar Videos: Create videos similar to those already ranking for your target keyword. Use similar tags, make them the same length, and verbally mention the keywords in the video.

Trends:  Combine the power of Google Trends with the "Similar Content" strategy for a winning formula.

Titles: Optimize your titles by including keywords like "How To," "Review," and "Tutorial." These keywords tend to rank well in Google's search results.

Tags: Utilize free YouTube tools to view the tags used in other videos and apply relevant ones to your content.

Descriptions: Write detailed YouTube descriptions with at least 250 words and ensure to include your keyword in the first sentence.

Thumbnails: Create custom thumbnails for your videos that contain text and a facial expression matching the mood of your video's title.

Caption Files: Review and edit the automatically generated YouTube caption file if any keywords are misspelled.

Boost Views: Consider purchasing a small number of views for your video to establish credibility in search results.

Backlinks: Spread links to your videos on social media, forums, and your website to accelerate their indexing.
